Summary
Public transportation systems by nature are open and easily accessible by the public, moving large amounts of people often without the application of security screening practices employed in airports. As adversaries may use trash and recycling receptacles to emplace and conceal a CBRNE device, significant thought should be given to the types and locations of trash containers used in public transportation environments.
