Summary
This document provides guidance for transit agencies wishing to enhance their asset management. It uses as its basis the four asset information subjects defined in the IAM’s “Anatomy of Asset Management” and provides good-practice and practical tips within each subject. The development of Transit Asset Management Plans (TAMPs) will yield a good understanding of the information needed for that document, the realities of what the agency has available, and the corresponding opportunities for improvement.
