Palm Tran Annual Report 2021 to Showcase our Accomplishments

Target Audience: The target audience was Palm Tran's key stakeholders: The Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners, The Palm Tran Service Board, Partner Agencies (Broward County Transit, Tri-Rail, Palm Beach Transportation Agency), Department and Division Heads, County Administration, Palm Tran Employees, Palm Tran riders, and the general public.

Strategy Objective:Palm Tran's strategy was to create an informative, thorough and easy to read document to highlight our accomplishments in 2021. Palm Tran's objective was to use the resources available to create content, design, and distribute the report to stakeholders. The theme of the report was "Focusing on our Community." Palm Tran's objective was to design a custom layout while the marketing manager provided the copy. The 28-page report was emailed to the target audience including elected officials and the printed copies were placed in public areas and given to Palm Tran management. A digital flipbook was published on Palm Tran's Website.

Situation Challenge: The Annual Report was created as a window into the accomplishments Palm Tran achieved in 2021. From the launch of a new cashless fare system - The Paradise Pass, to exceeding fundraising goals with United Way, to the grand opening of a new headquarters, 2021 was a year to transition away from the pandemic. The goal of the 2021 Annual Report titled "Focusing on our Community" was to showcase Palm Tran's efforts toward bringing the community together and recover ridership after the difficult times experienced due to COVID-19.

Results Impact: The 2021 Annual report was a success! The informative report captured the tropical feel of Palm Beach County with a clean, breezy look that featured Palm Tran teal throughout. Loaded with crisp photos and detailed layouts, the report exhibited Palm Tran's dedication to the community by presenting the initiatives, achievements, and events launched throughout the year. Digital copies of the report were posted on the agency's website and printed copies were distributed to Palm Tran stakeholders receiving positive feedback. The flipbook version had 248 digital views, exceeding expectations.

Why Submit: This entry was submitted to showcase our ability to demonstrate Palm Tran's impact on our community. Palm Tran should win an AdWheel Award in this category for our ability to thoughtfully design and write a print / digital publication that provides a snapshot of successes that Palm Tran has enjoyed throughout 2021.
