2022 Special Olympics (WWE, LYNX, and Special Olympics)

Target Audience: The target audience for this entry was Central Florida Residents, along with USA Special Olympic USA Games Orlando 2022 audiences both nationally and locally.

Strategy Objective:In support of the Special Olympics games, LYNX provided two bus wrap advertisements that traveled throughout the tri-county area. To celebrate three months out from the Special Olympics USA Games Orlando 2022, WWE and NXT Superstars and select athletes held a media event at the Orlando Executive Airport to unveil the Special Olympic buses which featured USA Games athletes.

Situation Challenge: This year's USA Games were hosted here in Orlando, Fla., in collaboration with Walt Disney World, WWE, Jersey Mike's and other local partners. LYNX' role in this year's games included marketing support, security and transportation.

Results Impact: This year's Special Olympics games themed "The Revolution is Inclusion," celebrated 50 years of the USA game's global inclusion movement. The games, which took place from June 5-June 11, featured more than 5,500 athletes,10,000 volunteers, 1,500 coaches and 125,000 fans from all 50 states and the District of Columbia. LYNX' support in this year's event helped promote the Special Olympics USA Games, as our two bus wraps targeted more than 2 million people traveling throughout Central Florida.
