The American Public Transportation Association is hosting its Eighth Annual Public Transportation: Wherever Life Takes You Photo Invitational. The invitational seeks photos from APTA members that depict public transportation's significance, value and benefits of opportunity, access, freedom, and mobility, which enable everyone in the community to accomplish what is important to them, all the while making communities stronger and more vibrant. The winning photos will appear in the 2008 APTA calendar.
Whether it is creating more livable communities, providing access to seniors and the disabled, or one of the many other benefits public transportation provides to America, we have a great story to tell - and we need your help to tell it. We are looking for photos showing people benefiting from public transportation as they get to work, medical appointments, school, sporting events or countless other destinations. Photos should capture human emotion and make the connection of how individuals or communities benefit from public transportation.
RULES:
There is no entry fee required to compete in the Eighth Annual Public Transportation: Wherever Life Takes You Photo Invitational.
All entries must be submitted by mail – postmarked by October 22, 2007.
Digital photos must be saved on a CD. A laser copy of each photo MUST BE included with each entry.
Digital photos MUST BE shot at high resolution.
Entries with people prominently featured must be accompanied by a signed photo release. Visit www.apta.com for a sample release for your use.
All entries become the property of the American Public Transportation Association and will not be returned.
All photos become part of the American Public Transportation Association's photo library, meaning they may be used in a variety of forms besides the annual APTA-sponsored calendar.
All entrants will be notified of the results by November 5, 2007.
All entries must be clearly marked with entrant's name, company name, phone number and e-mail address.
