It’s time for America to make “a bold, national commitment to expand and improve transit” as part of a new transportation vision, according to a new report aimed at informing legislators in preparation for a new transportation authorization bill.

A Better Way to Go: Meeting America’s 21st Century Transportation Challenges with Modern Public Transit, released by the U.S. Public Interest Research Group, examines the changes facing America’s transportation system, which it calls “increasingly out of step with the challenges of the 21st century.”
