The March 17 issue of Passenger Transport includes comprehensive coverage of the APTA Legislative Conference in Washington.

Speakers at the conference included members of Congress emphasizing their support for the federal transit program; Pennsylvania Gov. Edward Rendell explaining the “battle over infrastructure” in his state; Thomas J. Donohue, president and chief executive officer of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, describing the importance of infrastructure investment; three members of the National Surface Transportation Policy and Revenue Study Commission reporting on their findings; and panelists laying out ways that transit can help with climate change issues.
