State Affairs Committee
This APTA State Affairs Committee's purpose is to provide a forum for
identification, discussion, and resolution of public transit issues by state transit
associations, state departments of transportation, transit systems, and affiliated
interests. Activities include the development of the annual State Public Transit Partnerships
Conference, network and coalition building efforts to build state support for transit
funding, responding to appropriate technical issues, and improving the management of state
transit associations. Members include state association executive directors and officers,
state department of transportation officials, and transit system general managers.
