This committee promotes the development of conventional and high speed intercity ground transportation systems; addresses issues common to intercity and commuter rail services; works to insure that proper consideration is given to the integration of urban and intercity modes, and that there is effective and prompt exchange of data and information that can enhance passenger access to all systems.
